Various epidemics have occurred throughout human history. These epidemics not only pose a danger to human life but also have social and economic effects on society. The Covid-19 pandemic is one of these epidemics. It has also created a shock effect in the society, which was caught unprepared for an epidemic that has not been experienced for a long time, and it has caused a change in their habits. Debit and credit cards have an important incidence in payment tools today with the ease of use they provide. In this way, examining the expenditures made with debit and credit cards will increase the accuracy in determining the spending tendency of consumers. The aim of this study is to determine the differences in the spending tendency of consumers in Turkey during the Covid-19 pandemic, which affects the whole world, and to determine the changes in various sectors in this direction. Non-parametric methods were used to test whether there was a significant change in the spending groups. According to the data obtained as a result of the analysis applied, it has been determined that the consumers tend to the obligatory needs and there is a decrease in the consumption expenditures made in areas such as travel and entertainment.
